Supporting a movement for rural renewal through woodworking.

Our vision is to inspire a national network of rural communities enlivened by the social and economic benefits of woodworking.

We’re here for the trade-curious, career changers, entrepreneurs, artists, and craftsfolk – a place where everyone can discover their inner maker and enjoy affordable access to the best woodworking instruction and tools anywhere.

Member Programs

Providing access to tools, workspaces, and community support. We host meetups, skill shares, workshops, and service opportunities with member leadership.

Workforce Development Programs

providing career exposure and trades skill training. We serve multigenerational audiences and prioritize access for those historically underrepresented in the trades including women, LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC makers, as well as for those in active recovery.

Youth Programs

Empowering young people to cultivate creativity and passion through industrial arts training, STEM skill development, and workforce exposure curricula.

We provide a supportive social and technical learning environment across five types of programs:

Lifelong Learning Programs

Teaching beginner and intermediate woodworking and wood product innovation courses to local and national learners.

Community Build Programs

Community Build Programs give back to our community through the design, build, and delivery of custom wood furniture and/or products for the needs of other nonprofits.

“It’s so accessible whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced craftsperson.”
