We leverage creative community, lifelong learning and service projects for local impact.
Our vision is to inspire a national network of rural communities enlivened by the social and economic benefits of woodworking.
We’re creating spaces where people of all ages can learn to make anything with wood – from a skateboard deck to contemporary furniture. A place where our members enjoy affordable access to some of the best woodworking tools you’ll find outside of a professional or academic setting.
Financial assistance is available to anyone experiencing hardship. Historically marginalized people including women and members of the BIPOC and GNC communities are encouraged to apply.
Creative community
HatchSpace exists to help you build beautiful things with wood. Born out of the idea that most of us find purpose and meaning when we make things, HatchSpace provides the equipment and space in which to lose yourself in whatever you choose to make. Join as a member for as little as $49/mo.
Lifelong learning
Whether you’re new to woodworking or an expert craftsperson, HatchSpace provides exciting, lifelong learning opportunities. Our instructors draw upon many approaches and offer an incredible range of interest and skills. From hand carving to CNC, come learn with us. Members receive a 15% discount on all classes.
Community impact
Something magical happens when you bring people together around a common craft. At HatchSpace that passion is for woodworking and our members share their craft and support one another in building beautiful things with wood - for our homes and for our community. Partner with us to deepen our mission impact.
