Lead Summer Camp Counselor

This summer, HatchSpace is partnering with VWW to offer four weeks of Rosie’s Girls BUILD where campers will be introduced to carpentry, a non-traditional career for their gender. Rosie’s Girls delivers a hands-on learning experience in a supportive and empowering environment. In addition to technical experience, Rosie's Girls includes a research-based curriculum called "Power Skills" that supports campers in building their social/emotional skill sets. Rosie’s Girls inspires youth to build confidence, develop connections with each other, and dream big about their futures.  The Lead Summer Camp Counselor will be responsible for the delivery of this exciting summer camp experience for girls.

Program Assistant

Are you a high energy and nimble self-starter who will thrive in a creative environment? Consider joining the HatchSpace as a Program Assistant where you'll support the Education Manager in growing the organization’s community impact through learning programs.  This on-site position serves as a support person for the day-to-day activities of the Education Manager with occasional direction from the Executive Director. The position requires flexibility to work some evening and weekend events from time to time.

Wood Shop Lead

Do you love being around equipment and tools and have experience managing a work shop? Consider joining our team as Shop Lead, which fulfills an essential role at HatchSpace which is to oversee the maintenance of a clean, functional, safe, and reliable shop environment for our members, students, and instructors. Working with the Executive Director with input from the Education Manager, volunteers and members the Shop Lead helps HatchSpace to understand and respond to the needs of our woodworkers while ensuring a productive and safe work environment. An important success factor in this role is an ability and readiness to identify unsafe tools and equipment and recommend immediate remedial actions to the team.

Wood Shop Assistant

The Shop Assistant helps to expand weekend open hours at HatchSpace while supporting a clean and well-organized shop environment for our members, students, and instructors. Working under the direction of the Shop Lead, with input from Executive Director, volunteers and members, the Shop Assistant is responsible for opening HatchSpace shops on the weekends, providing routine shop maintenance and repairs, and offer limited support to members and their projects. An important success factor in this role is a commitment to excellent customer service in a busy wood shop environment.

Woodworking Instructor
We're always on the lookout for woodworking talent. Whether traditional craft methods, shop and tool safety, or modern CNC methods are your skillset, we encourage skilled woodworkers of all backgrounds to consider teaching with us. Courses can be taught as a one-day class or multi week experience depending on the content and experience of the teachers.
