Some woodworking experience recommended.

Similar to a box joint, the dovetail joint is made by cutting a set of complementary, interlocking profiles in two pieces of wood.  But the dovetail joint has the added advantage of mechanically interlocking pieces, increasing the strength and stability of the joint.

In this workshop, participants will learn to accurately layout and create dovetail joints using the hand tools such as chisels and dozuki saws.
