No Woodworking Experience Required

Make a three-tile serving board with either maple or cherry frame and handle. Participants will be guided through the process of building this charcuterie tray while learning to make grooves safely on a table saw and cutting miters on a miter saw. A variety of easy finishes will be available, and each participant will be taken through the finishing process on sample wood during the class time, then be given a jar of the finish to take home.
Beginners are welcome.

Gail Grycel has been a custom cabinetmaker since 1984. The balance of beauty and function exists in her cabinetry and furniture throughout New England. For over twenty years, and in three states, Gail has empowered women and girls through her class offerings in adult learning programs, woodworking courses in  her studio, at HatchSpace, and the Claremont Makerspace, Rosie's Girls summer camp sessions, mixed gender workshops and one on one tutoring. She is dedicated to sharing her knowledge and experience to all who want to explore the love of making things out of wood.


Payment and Refund Policy

Multi-day Classes:

Payment is due at the time of registration. Unpaid registrations are subject to cancellation.

Full refunds or a class credit can be provided if you cancel at least 7 days before the start of the class by contacting info@hatchspace.org or by calling 802-257-3935.

There are no refunds, transfers, make-ups or deferments for missed classes.

HatchSpace reserves the right to cancel any class for any reason. A class may be canceled in the event the minimum number of students for the class is not reached. In this case, registrants will receive a full refund or class credit, and notified by valid email provided at registration.

1 day Workshops:
